What is Graphic Design?

Graphic Design is all around us today. We see it on T.V and in magazines, we see it on buildings and on billboards. Graphic design is designing things to make a statement or say something. People use graphic design to advertise. It could be on the internet or on a billboard or just on the TV. Graphic designs are usually really creative and make a statement. They are done using programs on a computer.

Graphic designs are on clothes we wear, teams we support, schools, etc. The Nike symbol is a graphic design, Detroit Tigers logo, Hollister bird. My favorite graphic designs are the creative ones that are funny too. First when you look at them, you don't understand but then after a moment it clicks and it's so funny.  Another logo that has definitely influenced me is the Facebook logo, every time I see "F" I think of Facebook. Our culture is affected by Graphic designs all the time. They are a great way to advertise and sell products.
